RE: Re-Opening
“UPDATE ON REOPENING” we have listened to the announcement that the opening of houses of worship has been moved from NYS Phase IV to NYS Phase II
which will commence on Tuesday, June 9 except in the three NYC boroughs. In addition, the maximum number of people allowed to be present has been raised from
ten individuals to 25% of church’s occupancy, provided that physical distancing and
other guidelines are followed. I am pleased that the Faith Forward initiative was critical in laying the foundation for this modification.”
Therefore, you have received this notice to inform you that both the parish offices of Saint Joseph-Saint Boniface have reopened effective Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Visit to the Rectory office is by appointment. Please call 845-356-0311 Ext 111.
Cardinal Dolan has permitted according to Faith Forward, ADNY Level II (the celebration of baptisms and weddings) and Level III (the celebration of weekday Masses and funerals) are now combined. So, as His Eminence announced at St. Patrick’s Cathedral this morning, not only will parish offices in the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester be open to the public on Tuesday, but they may also resume weekday
Mass, baptisms, weddings and funerals at 25% of the capacity of the church.
In NYC, Phase II could start as early as the beginning of July. All precautions must be taken (wearing of masks, maintaining a six-foot distance, no physical contact except for communion, frequent washing of hands, and sanitizing surfaces).
